Company Creates Haired Turban for Cancer Patients

Businesswoman Luciana Lara Asauma, 47, who made turbans, had the initiative to insert hair made from organic or natural fibers into her products. Thus, was created the “Hair Manero” in Sao Paulo.

“My goal has always been to reach cancer patients. I spent a lot of time, tissue and materials trying to come up with a product that was really comfortable for patients to use and feel with the highest self-esteem,” he said. According to her, the turban with hair is an alternative to traditional wigs.

Luciana has outsourced much of her work with seamstresses from the NGO Aldeia do Futuro and for two years she has been selling turbans with hair, accessories and Afro clothing.
